Health Education Program Assistant

Responsible for assisting program/project staff with the design, implementation and dissemination of regional health education programs/projects.

Essential Functions:
  • Assists in developing written programs/projects materials and correspondence.
  • Coordinates assembly and distribution of materials (e.g., meeting packets, medical provider and staff information, program summaries, etc.).
  • Compiles and assesses data, summarizing and identifying key elements as needed.
  • Organizes and prepares data so that it is easy to access and understand.
  • Acts as liaison between regional program/project staff, facility coordinators and staff and other regions and organizations.
  • Represents regional program/project at meetings and committees. This includes giving presentations and actively participating as a member of the program/project team.
  • Monitors inventory of products and promotional items.
  • Assists in developing and ordering future products and items.
  • Resolves conflicts with internal and external vendors.
  • Creates financial assessments for current and future budget needs.
  • Monitors program/project budgets and expenses.
  • Resolves billing conflicts.
  • Assists in development of strategic goals and priorities of department and program/project.
  • Provides additional administrative support as needed.
    Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in program administration positions required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in using a variety of desktop publishing, spreadsheet and word processing software required.
  • College level coursework in public health, health education or related field required.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
    License, Certification, Registration

    Additional Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PC applications.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Senior management or executive level administrative support experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with education/training program operations and group facilitation preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
