Junior Military Officer (JMO) Program

Underscoring our dedication and commitment to our armed services, our JMO Program supports professional advancement through a unique career trajectory. This 2-year rotational program is designed to transition high-performing junior military officers by preparing them for successful leadership roles with Kaiser Permanente. The program provides a challenging opportunity to work on a rotational basis and includes on-the-job experience, leadership mentoring, and formal Web-based and classroom training. You’ll cultivate the skills needed to be a successful leader and gain experience in a broad number of business areas that may include the following:

  • Health Care Operations
  • Information Technology
  • Enterprise Shared Services
  • National Facilities Services
  • Health Care Administration
  • Human Services
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Marketing/Sales

Candidate Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years’ commissioned service
  • Excellent military record
  • Current commissioned military officer or former commissioned officer who has not been separated from the military for more than 2 years – this may be waived if pursuing higher education
